Mrs. Neela V Ramesh is a diligent and enthusiastic teacher with over two decades of experience; she has a Master’s degree, Bachelors in Education and K-Set to her credit.
Adept in teaching both CBSE curriculum and State board. She is a passionate Educational. She is a project officer and known for executing academic and extracurricular programs in a unique and innovative way. She is determined to offer all students a balanced, positive and challenging learning environment. A dedicated professional, Vice Principal and teacher who endeavours to work with all members of the school community to meet the needs of students and promote the school’s philosophy. She believes that a positive learning climate in a school is a composite of many things such as – a place where children receive guidance and encouragement from the responsible adults around them and an environment where children can experiment new ideas without the fear of failure.

Mrs. Nasreen Taranum is the academic coordinator and Science teacher at Sofia Public School.
Nasreen is a passionate teacher with more than 15 years of experience in the field of education which includes teaching, school improvement, planning, and teacher training. Being an educator is not just what she does; it has become who she is, her own journey of learning has shaped her into the educator she has become; someone with a belief that learning can, and should, challenge how and what we think and therefore what we become. The journey towards becoming a scholar in the field of learning and teaching is a lifetime endeavour and with that in mind, her teaching philosophy has evolved over the years.
Her current teaching philosophy rests on the assumption that students learn optimally when they are actively and emotionally involved in their learning and her focus has become rather on how she can provide a conducive learning environment for the students instead of bestowing her knowledge onto them.

Nuzhath is a passionate teacher and counsellor with more than 19 years of experience in the field of education which includes teaching, event management, school improvement, planning, marketing and overall development of school.
Her multicultural competency and ability to see different perspectives enables her to meet people where they are. She has always been there to support those around her in their time of need and consider herself to be a very caring individual.

Mrs. Bhavani.KN is a kannada teacher at Sofia Public School. She has more than 8 years of teaching experience. She has completed her Bachelors in Kannada and education from Bangalore University ith flying colours. Her educational psychology is to acquire new teaching skills which help her to guide and motivate the students and make them learn the language easily.
When asked about her teaching philosophy she says “My teaching methods are simple yet powerful. I believe grammar should be learnt properly to understand the language. Since my basic knowledge of subject is strong, I can make students learn both old and new literature easily. I can teach them according to their convenience”.
Her vision is to instil cultural, ethical, spiritual, moral values and excellence through the study of Kannada language and literature.

Mrs. Sumiya Khanum is a hindi teacher at Sofia public school. She has more than 12 years of experience in teaching. She has received her B.A in Hindi in the year 2013 along with her Bachelor in Education from Bangalore University.
Language is one of the most important parts of any culture. It is the way by which people communicate with one another, build relationships, and create a sense of community.
Sumiya has immense patience while teaching the students. She always takes extra steps to make the lessons easy for the students. Alima is a devoted teacher with more than 6 years of experience in the field of education. Teaching students from lower grades to post graduation helped her understand the learning needs of different age levels. Being a facilitator, her goal is to attain a position where she can utilise the knowledge of advanced teaching methods such as team learning and e-learning to develop and promote creativity and high-order thinking skills that increase the performance of the students.

Mrs Janaki is a mathematics teacher in Sofia Public School who has boundless passion and dedication to inspire students to look beyond pages of the textbook and become critical thinkers and problem solvers.

When asked about her best practices she says “There are many techniques, skills, and practices that can make a teacher effective. In my opinion, being an effective teacher means allowing an environment that enables students to learn in the classroom to their best abilities. When effective teaching is practiced, students develop a love for learning and gain new knowledge about what they are studying. Effective teaching can stem from many different practices and ideas such as attitude toward subject matter, implementing different learning styles into lessons, and being passionate about the subject being taught. All of these ideas can help a teacher become more effective in the classroom. It is true that effective teaching also allows students to better understand new material and difficult content.”
